Catching up...

I don't have any pictures to post right now, sorry. I will more then make up for that though because we have so many from Christmas, I am at work now and am not able to.
FAMILY NEWS: I have only 2 1/2 days left of work and I am so thrilled. I have never not worked and I can't wait to try my hand at being a stay at home mom (for a little while). I am going to work on getting my degree while I am at home. Hopefully once I'm at home I will have more time to update our blog daily (hopefully so don't get mad if I don't). We had a FABULOUS Christmas. We got everyting we wanted and needed and more! We are so greatful for our families who are so giving. OMG, Jaxon actually has a play room now. Our 5 month old needs a whole room for all the toys he got! I think it's funny. But now him and his little buddy Nolyn have a nice area to play in while Mommys and Daddys are playing board games. We are slowly getting the house in order to start packing out for Hawaii soon. My goal is to completely gut the house of our belongings that we don't need or use. I am thinking maybe a big yardsale soon. I am on a clean and organized house kick. Jason is shrinking! He was way under his max weight today at his weigh in (I really he hope he doesn't get mad for me writing this, lol.) He looks really good. We are working on our Hawaii bods. I think it will only get better once I am not working I will have time to cook actual good healthy meals instead of one of us trying to throw something together real quick. We are both just too tired to do anything. Working full time is just so draining, and it is impossible to do even the smallest thing.
JAXON NEWS: Our little guy is rolling over now! He cut a tooth on Christmas Eve and rolled over for us on Christmas day! It was the best gift ever! However, he is not sleeping so well lately because of the discomfort of teething. He must have woken up 3 times last night, poor baby. I am going during my lunch break to get him these tablets that disolve instantaniously and numbs their gumbs. I have heard very good things about them. We have tried the wet wash cloth, ice cube in a wash cloth, etc etc but nothing works except one of our fingers and we can't do that anymore because that little tooth is sharp! Having Jaxon is such an amazing experience. We love being parents. He is the best baby ever. And I'm not just saying that because he is mine, he really is so good. He is so happy. He laughs and smiles all the time. The only time you ever hear him cry is if he is hungry (and I try not to let it get to the point that he needs to cry, I pretty much know when he is ready to eat) or tired...or TEETHING, lol. All I can say is that God has truly blessed Jason and I for finding one another and creating such a miracle. I am so thankful for the life I have with my two guys. (I promise to post pictures ASAP)

Lonely Mommy

Well my guys have been in PA for the past week. Since I have not been seperated from Jaxon for more then 12 hours since he was conceived, it has been especially difficult. I can't believe I made it without making a trip to PA last weekend. They will be home tomorrow and I am so happy. I love my family. Jason has been really good about sending pictures. The first half of pictures are ones that I already had on my phone and second half are the ones Jason sent.

Pucker up :^*

Our weekend at Grammy's and Grandpa's!

We went to PA this weekend and saw all the Grandpeople! Jaxon lights up with his grandparents and eats up the attention. Here are few pics from the weekend except for one because I couldn't upload it:( I will post more. He is 4 months old and is starting to do so much! Grammy fed him his first solid food, peas, and he loved them. I have a couple pics of that and will get those up hopefully tomorrow (we haven't gotten everything unloaded from the car yet). He laughs and squeals. He loves to hear his own voice and shouts just to hear himself (like most guys). We put him on his tummy a lot now and he can tolerate it for longer periods of time then he would allow a couple weeks ago. He gets the legs going pretty good but we are working on rolling over for now. He is a determined little thing so we know it is just a matter of time. It is amazing how fast he has changed in just 4 short months.

Gotta love Grandmas!!!

October

At last, we post again! A lot has happened in the "White House" in a month. First thing's first...we OFFICIALLY have order to HAWAII! We are to report to MCB Hawaii no earlier then April 1st and no later then May 1st. So, I am making my last day at work be January 4th (end of pay period if your wondering why a Monday). It will give us plenty of time for me to make appointments, tie up loose ends and spend QT with family and friends. We are going to leave Maryland the second weekend of April so we can have a couple weeks of settling in to our lodging and having a little vacation and get familiar with everything. We can't get put on the housing waiting list until April 1st and the wait is 2-6 months long. We could possibly be in the temporary quarters for 6 whole months. The thought of that is very stressful, just not having our things. But hey, we will be in Hawaii, I am sure we can find a way to come to terms with it, haha. On another note, Jaxon is growing like a weed. He is amazing! He smiles and this week he started to belly laugh. Like really laugh! I can't beleive it. Well I think that is it. Enjoy the pictures! Love, Shannon Jason and Baby Jax

Our beutiful baby is growing and developing a personlaity!

I just think this is so funny. It's funny that kids just know they like their thumb and it just finds it's way to the mouth. Sometimes he has a difficult time controlling his hand but this time he had it down pat!

Isn't he gorgeous! I love that smile.

September

September has been a little busy. Sorry we haven't posted anything in a while. Let's see...Grammie and Greandpa and Great Grandma White came to visit. We went to D.C. and walked around the monuments. It was pretty awsome. We don't do that nearly enough. We live a half hour from the nation's capital and we don't utilize it nearly enough. So Jason and I are on a kick to see as much as we can before we have to leave in a year. We also went the Marine Corps museum with Maw Maw and Pop Pop. I never have dry eyes in that place. They have new exhibits. When you first walk in the doors they have a small memorial for Marines that have lost their lives fighting the war in Afghanistan. They have their boots underneath their pictures. It is possibly the most gut-wrenching thing I have ever seen. I think of them as someone's husband, father and son. Ok...moving on...we switched Jaxon's formula again. Back to the Nutramigen. The doctor recommended it about a month ago and we tried it for about a week (a little less) and we thought it hadn't made a difference but we really didn't give it much time to do it's job. It is twice the price of the stuff he was using. (Enfamil Gentlease). But I read that insurance companies have paid a percentage of the price for other folks with kids on that formula. So I am making a doctors appointment this week and having Dr. Chabbra write a prescription and assign a diagnosis code so that Tricare will hopefully pick up the tab. Jaxon is starting to coo a lot. He likes to talk. Escpecially when the house moderately quiet, he shouts. It's so cute. He shoves his hand into his mouth. That seems to be pretty fun for him. AND...he is a thumb sucker! That is how he self soothes. I used to suck my thumb and I finally stopped when I was six years old. I also needed braces. But if he's going to do it we can't stop him. It is so cute. I will try and get pictures of him suckin his thumb and smiling. He is starting to laugh out loud.
