Play Time!

My child is amazing. At 4 weeks old he loves to sit in his jumpy seat and listen to the noises. I took this video of him just a few moments ago.

He pooped!!

"World's Cutest Bachelor"

His favorite place to be.

Poor baby

Well Saturday evening Jaxon was in quite a bit of discomfort from his poopy problem so I layed him down on his changing pad on the floor of his room and dipped a q tip in vaseline and inserted where the sun don't shine. It worked. He got relief for that night but he hasn't gone since so the doctor instructed us to put 3/4 teaspoon of sugar in his bottles four times a day to soften his stool. She said if that doesn't work we will have to get a suppository...and if that doesn't work we will have to change his formula. I feel so bad for my little guy. Neither of us are getting any sleep because of this. I just want him better. I wish I could take the pain out of his tummy and put it in mine. The pictures are from Saturday and the naked ones were from our poop relief project.

Braylon is thrilled to be a big cousin!

Well the past 2 weeks have been a little hectic to say the least. Jaxon has been constipated and has a really upset tummy. So Daddy and I haven't had much sleep. I called the doctor yesterday because he hasn't had a b.m. in 2 days. She said that if he hasn't pooped by Monday to call back and we would have to consider changing his formula. Well I want the formula change to be a last resort so this morning we gave him a teaspoon of Karo corn syrup in 2 ounces of water. My mom said that she used that on my brother and my grandmother also used that remedy. I'm hoping our little man gets releif today. It breaks our hearts to watch him trying to push all day long. He gets so exhausted. He has been sleeping ok though. He is waking up about every 4 hours to eat. We up'd his formula to 4 ounces but the little guy is still hungry so in the evening we give him 6 ounces and he gobbles it up. I am a bit worried that we are over feeding him but when your child is hungry, how are you going to deny him food? He is such a cuddle bug. My favorite thing is to put him on my chest. I can kiss his fuzzy head all day, which is mostly what I have been doing, thus my house looks like a tornado went through it. I am taking advantage of my Saturday with Daddy home and cleaning. The pictures are mostly from this week.

6 Days Old

He has a fuzzy face

It's NOT gas, it's a smile...I swear!

Can you tell we are so proud!

Welcome home baby Jax!

Time to go home!

MUCH better! We got a stronger bili light that kept him so much warmer.

Two peas in a pod

Daddy was trying to calm the cold crying baby.

I couldn't take it anymore so I took him out for a minute to get some cuddle time.

He had to lay under the bili light to help the jaundice. He was so cold; our hearts were breaking.

Daddy taking his turn changing a diaper

This was the day after I had him. I was VERY swollen.

So tired in the hospital

Jaxon is 6 days old today. He has gained 7 ounces since he was born! He now weighs 7lbs 8ounces. He eats like a champ. I had to up his formula intake to 2 1/2 ounces from 1 1/2 because he was still rooting wanting more. He eats about every 4 hours. He sleeps pretty well through the night, waking up, still about every 4 to 5 hours to eat. He gets fed, gets his diaper changed and back in the basinet. I put on the vibration in his cradle and he goes right back to sleep. He is a great baby. I wouldn't trade him for anything. He looks like his daddy still. I keep looking for anything that resembles me but I just don't see it. He is going on his first road trip this weekend to go see his Great-Grandparents and Aunt and Unlce and cousins. We are so excited show off our pride and joy.
