Welcome to the lives of Shannon, Jason and soon to be baby Jaxon!!

Welcome family and friends! Since we have so many loved ones that we don't see nearly as much as we would like to and our lives get so busy that keeping in touch is sometimes difficult; Jason and I thought this would be perfect to keep everyone updated. Well, by now, you all know that we are expecting our first child in July. We just entered the third trimester yesterday. What a milestone, it feels like it has taken forever to get to this point!! (and I hear it only takes longer after this) That means our baby is going to be here in about 12 weeks. YIKES! It seems like there is so much to do. It's very exciting! We have the crib and dresser/changer in the nursery, thanks to Jason's WONDERFUL parents. It is such a relief to have the biggest items taken care of. And of course we know that the baby is not going to care about the material things just as long as he is warm, fed and loved (and he will be!). It is the most amazing experience ever. It is amazing to feel him move. I feel him all day while I am sitting at my desk. I think he get's bored, haha. We also know that he is a Daddy's boy already. Jason and I were laying down having a conversation last night before bedtime and Jason had his hand on my tummy and everytime he would talk Jaxon would move like crazy and when he would stop, so would the baby. It was hilarious! We love it!! After MUCH deliberation we finally agreed on a name for our little boy. Jaxon Tucker. We decided on the name Jaxon about 8 weeks into the pregnancy and we were going to use Jason's middle name, Matthew. But Jason brought up the name Tucker, who was a fellow Marine that fought alongside him in Iraq. He was killed in action. I am honored to name my son after an American hero just like his Daddy. We have so many sonogram photos and pictures of the house and especially the nursery that we will put up soon. Stay tuned...
